Face By Body: Gluten Free For Two Weeks?

imagesSo I’m on my weight loss journey and I have lost 15+ pounds this year! It would have been 20 but I got a little two happy on my three week vacation and lost my mind. Minor setback but we are moving forward. :)

Here is what I propose to get me back on track and maybe some of you ladies (and gentlemen) too. For the next two weeks, I am going to cut gluten out of my diet. Now, remember I’m not a doctor so be sure to consult with your doctor before trying this. I have huge sensitivity to gluten anyway, so I don’t eat a lot of carbs like breads but don’t get it twisted. I am irrational about snacks! I will eat crackers, cookies, cakes, you name it the sweet jam packed with flower and wheat. I stuff my face with cereals, pasta, (only home cooked because I get very sick when I eat pasta at a restaurant) pizza, cake, did I mention cake?! I can eat cake at least 4-5 times a week if no one is watching.

2f1f159cabec4a5985ce754dc1420576So for two weeks I’m going to give it a break. I don’t do the eat leaves forever type of diet because it doesn’t work for me. I do believe in cutting back. So if you don’t want to completely cut the gluten, cut back on the fatty carbs that aren’t good for you anyway. I’m doing it for two weeks because 4th of July is coming and it will be a reason to celebrate. I will start Monday the 16 and go until Monday the 30th. You with me? It’s never too late to get bikini ready. Don’t forget to drink lots of water and walk at least 30 minutes a day. It’s good for you. See you at the finish line!
