Hallmark Marriage

imagesThere is no such thing about a perfect marriage. I have spoken to a lot of married couples who have been married for years and years and each of them have said it is no joke. We often think the biggest issue we’ll have is keeping our man from cheating but it isn’t. There is a lot more to marriage than keeping your man sexually satisfied. One way we learn how to deal with conflict and issues within marriage is to do research.

Other than cleaning and learning about yourself throughout the challenge, you should think about talking to people who have been married for a while. Get to know what works for them and begin to become “that perfect wife.” The best part of winning is the preparation part, which is where we are today. Talking to married couples, both men and women, is important because you get a realistic view of what marriage is about. You hopefully will get past the hallmark superficial thinking of marriage and really prepare yourself for what it is.

There are also a lot of books you can read. I’ll compile a list of literature for you ladies to help you become more knowledgeable. It also, believe it or not, helps to watch some of these quirky shows like, “Married at First Sight” or “Instant Fiancé” to see how other couples interact with each other to get some insight on what you would do in certain situations.  Now, I’m not saying model reality TV, and certain not anything that begins or ends with Wives, but take a look at some positive shows about people in relationships and see how they deal with marriage challenges. You can actually learn a lot.

1044376_617694548255375_1323760640_nThe point is you need to learn as much as you can. The more you know the better prepared you will be when you get married. This is one more step towards becoming a better woman/wife. Be sure to journal everything you want in your future. Write the steps you are going to take and are currently taking to becoming the woman you want your future husband to fall in love with. Most importantly, don’t forget to fall in love with yourself first.
