Flea Filled Dog and A Boujie Girl

Some low self-esteemed men are like that. Rejection somehow in their heads means she really wants me. They chase harder and harder…meanwhile your main squeeze has no clue on how to behave with you. Uh! The way the world works. I’m get back to you guys on this one…

Life Kicked My ass

One thing about being a Boujie girl that I don’t always enjoy is the lack of respect I get from others! Last week was crazy, just crazy.

“I think You’re Beautiful and I want to get to know you so give me your number.”

How about just “Hi, you look really nice,” with a smile or bring up something interesting that would strike up a conversation. Very few things can scare a woman, but one thing that can scare us off is a wayyyy too eager man. Just a tip!

Enough is Enough

Sometimes we make up a checklist of who we are and someone else’s actions make us feel, wait. Let me be clear, WE make OURSELVES feel, like we can’t check off what is great about ourselves. You can’t blame someone for making you feel a certain way because they lack, let them lack and complete what they need. You are enough. Check off everything because you really are great and you can’t let someone else’s baggage weigh down your thoughts of yourself.

No Thanks Buddy!

Either way, I’m shutting doors and looking forward. I don’t like to play games but I don’t like to be bothered either. Where are the genuine people?!

So I’m Boujie Huh?

Today, when I am dealing with people, I learned to get out of the habit of reacting. I used to argue, shout, even slap to get what I felt I deserved, but now I earn it. If I’m being treated unfairly, before I react, I retreat, rethink then handle. I am out of the businesses of dealing with people who don’t matter, used to matter or don’t deserve my respect. I am in the business of becoming who I am supposed to be, a writer / college professor soon to be PhD candidate. If I’m called Boujie for being who I am, then I will coin it and move on.

Excuse me but get out my life…thanks!

Some people thought I completely lost my mind and decided I needed to spend more time with them to figure out why it is that I suddenly “need space”. Others texted me back, “Well Fu%$# you too!” Oh my!

Watch My Mouth? OK!

I told her, “You can transfer me to your supervisor because conversing with you is sheer and utter buffoonery. It’s my fault that I entertained a simpleton like you in the first place.”

But Officer I’m a Boujie Girl.. Fall Back with that Ticket!!!

Before he comes back, I push my seat back a little, yank my shirt down more to show off the girls and even dabble a little glitter lotion on the girls to make them shine before he comes back.

What did you say your name was? I didn’t!

Let’s break this down. If someone calls you by accident, it’s not a sign from God that this person is the one. I know you are lonely but please don’ jump on this bandwagon. If you missed your bus and someone is yelling at you from across the street, it is not fate that made you late. It is a loser who sees an opportunity. Life is not the movies, be realistic before you spend the next 6 months of your life asking yourself, “How did I get here?”
